Objective

1. To promote batik to the public
2. Create awareness and interest in a part of our Malaysian heritage
3. Develop ideas and innovation with Batik

Description

1. Each person will be given fabric, framed and pre-drawn with some basic batik motif.
2. Competitors need to fill up the batik motif with batik colour which we provide.
3. Just play and have fun experimenting with the batik paint, similar to painting with water colour, except this is painting on fabric.
4. Easy and very safe to do, no danger of burning from hot wax.  There will be no fire involved.
5. Competition duration: 1 hour
6. Group A: Primary school student

Group B: Secondary school student

1. Maximum 200 competitors. (first come first serve)
2. Prizes: 26 hampers for 13 winners each groups.

Programme

10am - registration + Batik Demonstration
11am - coloring competition start + Batik Demonstration
12pm - lunch break + Batik Demonstration
1pm - prizes giving ceremony & photo session
2pm - closing
