This series of my paintings are inspired by climbers. Climbers are among the most dramatic and rewarding garden plants, lifting our eyes skywards as they reach towards the sun. They are ideal for beautifying walls, fences and ugly outbuildings can also be draped over pergolas to provide welcome shade in summer or used to carpet banks. Some have spectacular flowers that can be deliciously scented. Others are grown for their leaves, while the evergreens provide year-ground interest, being a good foil to other flowering plants in summer and supplying welcome greenery in winter.
